Battery Partner In NHEV 2020 Program
CaloryTech Innovation is proud to be part of India’s National Highway for Electric Vehicles (NHEV) program – India’s First Highway Electrification Program run by ASSAR(Advance Services for Social and Administrative Reforms) and EoDB (Ease of Doing Business). CaloryTech Innovation has been selected as one of main Battery Operator to design and supply innovative Range Extender (REx) battery packs for electric vehicle fleet cars.
The purpose of NHEV program is to convert India’s Highways and Expressways into electric highways. Initiated in 2020, the NHEV program is being implemented as a prototype model on the 280 km Delhi-Jaipur Highway (NH-48) and the 235 km Delhi-Agra Highway (Yamuna Expressway). In later stages the NHEV program is expected to be deployed across many highways in India.
Public transport fleets – both e-cars and e-buses are expected to be deployed as part of the NHEV program. Furthermore, there will be charging stations on these e-highways.The NHEV program is being implemented under EoDB with Single Window Clearance service by ASSAR.
CaloryTech will be designing and supplying the best-in-class Range Extender (REx) battery packs for e-cars that will be operated by BluSmart under the NHEV program. REx will mitigate range anxiety and enable e-cars to cover the entire distance of e-highway non-stop and without the need for charging car battery. This saves a lot of time for passengers as well as a fleet operators.
